During the last weekend of May, the town of Jelling transforms into a venue of good music and a meeting place for all ages. 7-8 July: Viking Market in Jelling
Come and experience a living Viking market with exciting workshops, market stalls, horse riding, and themed church services. Test your skills at bread baking and archery and experience the thrill of Vikings battling for honour. Also visit the amazing Royal Jelling visitor’s centre.
19-22 July: In The Footsteps Of The Egtved Girl
The Bronze Age festival is staged annually in July and features activities and events for all ages. The festival is held by the burial mound of the Egtved Girl complete with Bronze Age crafts market, a sacrificial ceremony, the sounding of Viking Age lures, and dance and storytelling by the ‘Egtved Girl’.

11 August: Jazz in Tørskind
It was Danish sculptor Robert Jacobsen’s dream that jazz should be played amidst the monumental sculptures in Tørskind Grusgrav, which he created with Jean Clareboudt. Now that dream has come true. Every summer, revellers enjoy swinging jazz in the sculpture park.

19 August: Wild about Water in Vejle
Vejle Inlet will be humming with activity in August. The Vejle Triton Swimming Club holds its "Fiord Swim" in which hundreds of swimmers will cross the inlet. There will also be an inlet market, music and activities for the entire family.

August: Munkebjerg Hill Climb
In August, vintage sports cars take part in a traditional hill climbing race in the woodlands of Munkebjergskoven. The race is one of five featured in the Danish Historical Motor Sport Championship. For the drivers, the 1500-metre course from the Vejle Inlet to Munkebjerg Hotel offers a challenging motoring experience. For onlookers it offers a unique chance to experience a host of fine vintage sports cars.

September: Spotlight - youth culture festival
Spotlight is a youth festival held in September with a wealth of activities for children and the young, primarily at the town’s many schools and day-care institutions. December: Christmas rides on a vintage train from Vejle to Grejsdalen

December: Christmas market at Hopballe Mill
Enjoy an afternoon with the family at the cosy Christmas market. December: Tirsbæk Castle Christmas Market
The Christmas market at the Tirsbæk manor offers a wealth of traditional yuletide trimmings and fun activities, including archery and pony rides for the very young. Larger children can enjoy off-road rides through the old castle grounds in a Land Rover. You can also fell your own Christmas tree or buy a pre-netted one. Yuletide treats are also sold, such as mulled wine, crullers, small doughnuts (æbleskiver) and soft drinks.
