In Denmark, recreational fishing by persons between 18 and 65 years of age is only allowed by holders of a valid state-issued national angling licence. Licenses valid for a week, weekend or a whole year can be purchased online at
www.fisketegn.dk or at Danish post offices. The only exceptions are put & take lakes where day permits or by-the-hour access can be purchased on location.
The general angling rights to a number of lakes, streams and rivers have been granted to local angling associations. Apart from a national angling licence, such locations also require a local angling permit. These are exclusively issued by the angling associations who hold the angling rights. Please note that several angling associations only issue licences valid for a whole year.
Vingsted Sø and Vejle ÅThe Vejle Angling Association (Vejle Sportsfiskerforening) holds the angling rights to Vingsted Sø (lake) and a wide stretch of the Vejle Å (river). Day permits (and guest cards for those accompanied by a member of the Vejle Angling Association) can be purchased at VisitVejle and at
www.dagkort.dk.
To further restrict angling along the Vejle Å, permits are limited to one of four zones. Only a limited number of permits are given for angling in zones 1-3.
