Whether you are a dedicated angler or simply enjoy the odd fishing trip while holidaymaking, then the Vejle region has much to offer.

Meandering through the scenic valley of Vejle Ådal is one of Denmark’s best sea trout rivers, Vejle Å, which promises individual catches of up to 10 kg.

Fårup Sø is a lake known for its sizable wild perch and hard-fighting pikes while the lake of Vingsted Sø promises ample catches of snap-happy pike, bream and roach.

The many put & take angling lakes offer leisurely sporting and are well-stocked with perch, roach, bream, salmon and eel. They offer fun for all, even those without fishing experience. Many put & take lakes provide picnic tables and benches and BBQ facilities. Several are dedicated family-friendly lakes.

The magnificent coastline along the Vejle Inlet offers some of Denmark’s best sea trout fishing and also provides prime angling for flatfish, herring, cod and garfish.

Some angling areas offer shoreline parking; others can be reached by footpath and in some places you will need to scale a few cliffs. Anglers bringing their own boat will always find a good angling spot in the Vejle Inlet or further out at sea.
