Munkebjergskoven Forest
Munkebjergskoven Forest
The forest of Munkebjergskoven drops into the sea along a cliffy southern shoreline of the Vejle Inlet. A trip through the soft rolling woodlands is rewarded with verdant vistas. This is typically the area in Denmark where the beech trees are the first to green in the spring.
Dyrehaven deer park
Nørreskoven Forest and Dyrehaven deer park
Nørreskoven, a woodland on the northern coast of the Vejle Inlet, offers a varied landscape of 300-year-old beech trees, prehistoric monuments and dry river beds. This is also where you find the Dyrehaven deer park with its herds of fallow and sika deer.

Sønderskoven Forest
Sønderskoven is a forest area to the south of Vejle that consists of six soft rolling woodlands, each with its own unique character and trickling streams and creeks. Forest adventure playground.

Hastrup Plantage
The woodland plantation northwest of Ejstrupholm is called Hastrup Plantage. The woodlands are typical of the area’s reclaimed moorlands whereas the lake is encircled by pristine ancient oak forest. Marked pathways. Bird watching tower, forest adventure playground and campfire site.
Randbøl Hede
Randbøl Hede and Frederikshåb Plantage
The Randbøl Hede is a protected nature reserve southwest of Randbøl and Denmark’s largest area of its kind. The coniferous and deciduous plantations of Frederikshåb are located on reclaimed moorland and feature rare inland sand dunes and a lake. Marked pathways.
