Give Church was built in 1100 in Roman/Gothic style. It was built near a well dedicated to Saint Nicolaus and the church was named accordingly. Chancel and nave are in the Roman style, made of travertine on a vaguely marked slanted socle of granite squares and travertine. A late Gothic tower room has been added to the chancel and in 1905, the current corbie tower was built. The chancel is the oldest and only remaining part of the original church.
The altarpiece is from 1947. The culpit is a Renaissance piece from around 1600. The font of the church is Roman. |
