Saint Norbert’s Church was built in 1922-1924 in Neo Gothic style. The vicarage is an integrated part of the construction. Architect F. Wipfler from Odense has managed to combine all the elements of the construction to one harmonious unit.
The consecrated wafers are kept in the tabernacle of the chancel’s rear wall. The small red lamp is on, when the Body of Christ is present in the tabernacle.
The church benches, the doors, the confessional and the altar are carved in Slavonian oak by the Belgian wood carver Goeteyne. In the altar, you will find six reliefs. The chandeliers are Gothic, influenced by art nouveau. The font is an old, antique marble basin that rests on a square granite column.
The pneumatic Marcussen & Son organ is from 1939. |
