Mountain bike trails in Vejle

Vejle’s probably highest mountain bike trail, Himmelpind Bike Park, is located in the district of Trædballe west of downtown.

There are challenges for all – for the young and old, beginners and pros – on the 1,200-metre long mountain bike technical track by Brandbjerg Højskole. The track, which is called Dragehalen (The Dragon Tail) due to its twisted pump tracks, offers black, red and blue colour-coded levels.

The rolling woodlands of Nørreskoven are ideal for mountain biking. Here you will find probably Denmark’s most hilly mountain bike trails. The route runs past the sports college of Vejle Idrætshøjskole and meanders along both sides of the steep gorge of Bybækken.

In the forest Sønderskoven in Vejle you will find a 8 km long mountain bike trail with challenges for everyone. It has a granite gravel surface, which ensures safe driving in all weathers.

Sønderskoven is home to one of Denmark’s largest technical and training facilities for mountain bikes, Vejle BikePark. The park is an extension to the 8-kilometer long blue mountain bike trail in Sønderskoven. Vejle BikePark offers tracks and obstacles for beginners and daredevils alike.

Take a leisurely ride on a mountain bike 16 km through the valley of Grejsdalen, which offers magnificent glacial landscapes, steep hillsides and watershed gorges that cut deep into the rolling landscape. On the tour, you will also pass through old beech forests and beautiful open countryside.
