The gateway to the river valley – exhibition
Learn more about the Hærvejen, Vejle’s river valleys and the fjord through the exhibitions at the visitor centre near Haraldskær. Take off your hiking boots and relax in the natural lounge furniture with films and mobile charging facilities. In the various exhibitions, you can learn more about the history of the surrounding nature, the Hærvejen route, biodiversity, wildlife and much more.
Fjordenhus is Vejle’s iconic building by the city’s waterfront. There is public access during daytime hours to Olafur Eliasson’s artworks on the ground floor.

The Vejle Windmill is one of the landmarks of Vejle. Perhaps even the number 1 landmark of Vejle. Located on the hillside in the southern part of Vejle, the beautiful old windmill can be seen from large parts of the city. From the mill's platform, there is an impressive view over the city of Vejle, Grejsdal, Vejle Fjord, and Vejle Ådal.
Embark on a journey back to the Iron Age. Vingsted Iron Age is one of Denmark's largest reconstructed Iron Age environments, where houses, fields, a blacksmith's forge, sacrificial site, and livestock make up a complete Iron Age settlement.
