Spring is the perfect time to get out into nature, and fortunately the area offers cozy experiences both indoors and outdoors. You can also explore the exciting events and activities during the Easter holiday and throughout spring.
Take a trip into Vejle’s nature and search for the harbingers of spring on the forest floor and in the trees. Also, visit Boulevarden in Vejle, where the cherry trees bloom beautifully in the spring.
After a visit to the blooming nature, you can taste your way through Vejle’s gastro-universe or take a trip past the many shops and exciting museums on the pedestrian street.

This spring, Haughus Gods, Antique & Flea Market opens its doors for spring markets in March and May. Mark these weekends in your calendar:

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11 AM to 4 PM, you can join the Gastro Walk in Vejle city centre. Here, you can experience Vejle’s food scene in a completely new, tasty, and active way. Visit six of Vejle’s great dining spots, each serving light and delicious dishes – Kalkbrænderiet, Tortilla Flats, La Nouvelle, Steakeriet, Restaurant ved Åen and Osteriet.
When you purchase a ticket, you will be assigned a starting point, from which you move between the tasting experiences at your own pace.
During spring, you can join tree walks around the Vejle area. The following walks are available:
On a tree walk, you’ll get to know the green giants around us during a brisk walk through forest and town. Among other things, you will learn how to tell the difference between deciduous and coniferous trees and the many tree species found across Denmark. Join the walk as the guide explains more about the diversity and connections in nature.

Mark your calendar for 1 and 2 May, when City Vejle invites you to Culture Night.
Enjoy the spring atmosphere in Vejle city centre, where shops stay open until 9 pm on 1 May for “Culture Night by night.” If you have children, bring them along on 2 May for “Culture for the little ones.” It will be festive!

On Saturday, 9 May 2026, Tinnetgaard traditionally invites the whole family to its spring market.
Visit the farm, join a guided tour of the inspiration garden, meet the farm animals, visit the stalls and farm shop, take part in egg bingo, spring run, playland, creative workshops, and much more. You can find all activities via the link below.
May 10, 2026, the Grejsdalsløbet, Denmark's toughest recreational cycling race, will be held.
Despite its challenging reputation, Grejsdalsløbet is actually a cycling event for everyone. Participants can choose from five different distances: the Spring Classic, Gran Fondo, Medio Fondo, Challenge, and Gravel.
From May 21-24, 2026, the Jelling Music Festival will once again take place, continuing its tradition of being held on the last weekend of May.
The festival is a celebration of community, great music, and people of all ages, as it kicks off the festival season in Denmark.
